Hi there, welcome to my website.
My name is MaryJo Gibson.
Writer, historical researcher, genealogist, photographer and art lover who campaigns for the relevancy of history. I have an appetite for the past focusing on art and genealogy. I teach my readers the value of the story in the art, with vignettes on artist lives and influencers. I have tackled my own family’s genealogy, having found murder and intrigue, all while exploring the changes in technology that makes genealogy research possible.
We have crazy adventures in museums and graveyards. Come and join me on this journey!
“Ideas without precedent are generally looked upon with disfavor and men are shocked if their conceptions of an orderly world are challenged.”
J Harlen Bretz 1882-1981 (my great uncle)
